Nelson Garrido is a hospitality professional with more than 18 years of experience in hotel operations and IT. He is the senior vice president of IT for Brookfield Hotel Properties responsible for all IT for owned hotel assets. Brookfield has ownership in over 280 properties worldwide. Prior to joining Brookfield, Nelson was the senior vice president IT service delivery for Interstate Hotels and Resorts where he is responsible for hotel technology, infrastructure, the service desk, for both domestic and international properties

Nelson was previously the vice president of Information Technology with responsibility for leading the implementation and execution of Noble-Interstate strategic information technology and management information system platforms throughout the organization and its assets. These areas include business intelligence technology, alignment of brand technology with Noble-Interstate’s systems as well as the implementation of new investment and re-branding information technology

Prior to joining Noble in 2005, he was the senior director of global technology for Dolce International where he was responsible for the technology strategy and systems for all their hotels, resorts and conference centers throughout the Americas and Europe. Nelson is also an active member with Hospitality Financial Technology professionals and the Hotel Technology Next Generation.
