With 20+ year of experience in the Hospitality Industry, Javier Garcia is director of global infrastructure at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. In 1995, he received a B.S. degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Guadalajara, Mexico. Upon graduation, Javier attended continuing education courses at Penn State where he gathered experience in E-Commerce and Internet Protocols. In 1997, he joined Holiday Inn Worldwide, today known as InterContinental Hotel Group. For 17 years, he was part of many technology projects. In 2008, Javier received a master’s degree in Business Administration with concentration in Marketing and Finance from Regis University. This boosted him to hold management positions at IHG where he participated in Hotel Operations projects, Brand Management and Market Penetration Plans.

In 2013, Javier joined Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group where he is responsible of developing technology standards for all regions where the company has presence.
